The Dutch Ministry of Defence (MoD) has told parliament of its plans for new warships and their systems; chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) reconnaissance vehicles; personal combat equipment; simulators; and an Apache helicopter upgrade.

Secretary of State for Defence Barbara Visser on 2 May informed parliament that the Royal Netherlands Navy’s (RNLN’s) two M-frigates and six mine countermeasures (MCM) vessels would be replaced under a joint project with Belgium, and that a second support ship would be procured.
