Thousands evacuated from city centre after five tonne war bomb found


A five tonne war bomb has been discovered by builders sparking a massive evacuation in Dusseldorf, Germany.

Some 8,000 people have been forced out of their homes as the authorities descended late last night.

The British Second World War aircraft bomb was found in the Dusseldorf-Rath area of the German city, located near the airport. Continue reading.
