2019 Nuclear Deterrence Summit
February 12, 2019 - February 14, 2019
Rockville, MD – October 18, 2018 – ExchangeMonitor Publications & Forums is excited to announce the agenda for the 2019 Nuclear Deterrence Summit Preconference Workshop. Entitled, Nuclear Enterprise: A Systems Perspective, TechSource, Inc. will sponsor the preconference workshop for the second year in a row. The workshop will take place Tuesday, February 12 from 8:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. at the Sheraton Pentagon City in Arlington, VA.
This workshop will examine the overall system needed to meet the National Security needs required by the nuclear deterrent. This is a rare opportunity to learn and discuss where direct and indirect requirements meet and interact; how national security requirements (DoD) flow into the nuclear weapons complex (NNSA) for action as well as other stakeholder interactions and enterprise processes that are sometimes underappreciated as key interfaces. DoD will discuss requirements based on the 2018 Nuclear Posture Review and DoD actions to address those requirements; this will be followed by a discussion from current and former NNSA and contractor leaders on the many moving parts that must all work in concert to meet DoD’s requirements. We will explore what is working well and where the pressure points are. In addition, there will be a brief presentation on outcomes from last year’s pre-conference workshop on counter-proliferation.
