Massive explosion leaves 19 injured after ‘car bomb’ tears through Turkish city


At least 19 people have been wounded after a massive blast struck a major Turkish city close to the border with Iran.

The explosion, a car bomb believed to have been planted by Kurdish PKK militants, struck the centre of Van in southeast Turkey, which has suffered from numerous terrorist attacks in recent months.

No deaths were reported but ambulances were dispatched to treat those caught up in the blast, including two police officers who were wounded. Continue reading.
