The National Training Center (NTC) at the Bredero barrack in Vught received some metro coaches yesterday. The arrival of the coaches is part of the final phase of the establishment of a new training facility in The Netherlands.

The Dutch Armed Forces, upon an order from the Dutch Ministry of Safety and Justice, established the NTC. After the official opening taking place end of November, the Armed Forces trains – in cooperation with civil partners – on various CBRN-scenarios. A complete metro station as well as a shopping street have been constructed at the training facility of the NTC.

“Together with, amongst others, medical partners, police and fire services, we are able to train in a very realistic setting. We are approaching the date of the official opening. The construction of the training facility advances and it looks impressive”, according commander NTC lieutenant-colonel Arnoud Schoonderbeek.

The NTC aims to establish a narrow cooperation between civil parties and the Armed Forces concerning combating CBRN-disasters or incidents.
