Parsons Green ‘explosion’: Passengers injured after ‘blast’ on District line Tube train – latest news


An “explosion” on a Tube train at Parsons Green station has left people injured and passengers fleeing in panic.

Several people are said to have suffered facial burns after a reported blast in a bucket towards the rear of the District Line train. Others are said to have been trampled on in the rush to escape.

One witness reported seeing “a flash and a bang” in a bag holding the container, which is said to have had wires coming from it, on the packed rush-hour carriage.

Emergency services are attending the station in west London after the incident at about 8.20am on Friday.

Armed police are at the scene and the Metropolitan Police said it would provide an update soon. Source.
